The Oaks Country Club enters its second 50 years in 2012 after
celebrating the club's
Golden Anniversary throughout 2011. Since our founding in 1961, The Oaks is well-known as a friendly
club of members from throughout Murray, Calloway County, and
much of the West Kentucky/NW Tennessee region.
The Oaks cornerstone is our challenging 18-hole golf course with
Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens that
consistently provide the best putting surfaces in the region,
regardless of the wide seasonal temperatures in our mid-south
area. The 6,403-yard layout features three ponds playing into
several holes, along with well-manicured bunkers on many holes.
And, of course, The Oaks Country Club course remains true to its
name with a gorgeous mix of trees lining and defining the entire
course. The par 72 course plays to a course rating of 70 and a
slope of 119. Four different tee locations
offer challenges for golfers of all handicaps. Golfers
are welcome to bring private carts any time and on-site storage
is available as a convenience for club members at an additional
fee.
In addition to our popular golf course, The Oaks also offers a
wonderful family pool for summertime fun. Diving area, kiddie
pool, and a spacious sun deck add to the aquatic offering at
Oaks.
The Oaks clubhouse includes a comfortable
3,000 square foot
meeting room, complete with kitchen and catering area, for
members for social events throughout the year. The pro shop,
snack bar, covered and open air balconies are adjacent to two
spacious putting greens surrounding the clubhouse area.
The Oaks Country Club is always open for new members. Contact us
to learn more about single and family golf or social membership
plans. Now is a great time to become part of The Oaks -
celebrating 51 years of family fun in a private club setting in
Murray/Calloway County.
